Wednesday, October 21st, 2015

Hello! Tom was the 2015 honoree at the sixth annual Irvine Public Schools Foundation gala and auction on Saturday, October 17! From ocregister.com:

“The sixth annual Irvine Public Schools Foundation gala and auction Saturday raised more than $425,000 for Irvine schools.

More than 350 community leaders, parents, educators and others attended the event, held at Kia Motors headquarters in Irvine, in support of the Irvine Unified School District.

The black-tie event kicked off at 5:30 p.m. with a red carpet arrival, followed by a cocktail reception and silent auction.

During dinner, Tom Dumont, the No Doubt guitarist who graduated from Woodbridge High in 1986, was recognized with the Spirit of Excellence in Music award. Two other No Doubt members, Tony Kanal and drummer Adrian Young, surprised Dumont by attending the gala and presenting him with the award.

In turn, Dumont presented members of the band The Brevet with the Rising Star Award. Members of the band, which performed at the gala, are 2007 graduates of Woodbridge and University high schools.”

Before he was presented with the award, they played a an awesome video about him, his musical history, etc. The foundation uploaded it to Vimeo:

Gwen performed her Mastercard “Priceless Surprises” solo show last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. The set list was awesome, and she sang a brand new song entitled “Used To Love You”. It’s a very emotional song, and she says it may be her next single. In the first video below, before the song starts she talks about how sharing personal things with us fans has a supporting, loving effect on her. I’m sure glad that she feels the love, and support that all of us fans are sending her way! Love you, Gwen!
